After selecting the best wood for the
project, the creation is individually
drawn.  I never use templates, thus
making each piece unique.  Another
one just like it can not exist.
The wood is cut and
shaped.  This takes many
hours of carving and
hand-sanding until the work
morphs into the proper
form.  I am careful to
scrutinize each step to
insure that while the shape
will resemble my intentions,
it must also yield to
aesthetic curves and
shapes.  The form you see
is not just a copy of a
picture, but a representation
of intuitive thought.  Finally,
the wood is treated,
stained, and coated for
protection and finish.  It's a
one-of-a-kind piece and
that's the way I like it.
